Let's talk about a new character: our good steel comrade COLOSSUS.

STRENGTH AND RESISTANCE
Looking at Wikia, it is very strong and has a very high resistance. Even so, below the levels of the Hulk. So should he have the same levels as Namor, for example?

ORGANIC METAL ARMOR
Due to the fact that he has natural armor and is quite resistant to damage, I think some attacks should not even cause damage to him. For example, knife attacks (should have zero damage). Normal projectiles, such as bullets, should not harm him either - after all, he can withstand tank shells.

My ideas:
- Sharp attacks - Zero damage *
- Common projectiles, like revolver bullets - damage reduced by 90% or more, causing the bullets to bounce off him.
- Energy projectiles - common damage.
- Elementary attacks (fire and ice) - damage reduced by 50%

* I would have to worry about extremely sharp biting attacks, like the attacks made by Ares. For Ares has enough strength to do damage to the Colossus.

How this sounds?

I know you are going to do a great job on the movelist. All is ask is, whatever you do, keep his Siberian Express (Shoulder Charge). That move felt sooooo good playing with a tank character and rushing through the enemy like Juggernaut lol

Only if manage to edit it right. The spriter who is working on it tried to edit it and, from what he said, the result wasn't too good.
But you will have another way to push the enemies far away...I wasn't going to post it right now, but here we go:

I've edited some frames to make this kick. It should be his grabforward kick - the grabs then kick the enemy to the oblivion, lol

You know what, my apologies buddy! I keep forgetting that you actually have to code all of that. Well I will just pray that it isn't too much of a hassle. If it was and ended up being too complicated, I would definitely understand you not including it (I'll be a little sad lmao, but I completely get it ;D)

Now back to that grab move....I'm loving the push kick after a grab. I figured he would have some extra grabs being built like a tank and all.

I do have a question. Will he be mainly grappler, or a mixture of grappler/striker, or something else. The reason I was asking is because I just watched a walkthrough of X-men legends 1 and 2 a few days ago and I like the way they made some of his moves very different to the other tank characters. They actually made him more of a crowd control/projectile type character surprisingly. The projectile move they had for him was called Thunderclap I believe, and it was actually crazy good for him. I know you have some surprises up your sleeve, but I'm just interested in what you planned and which direction you envisioned to take him in. It always creats interesting dialogue lol.
 
My idea is to make him a mixer of grappler and striker. For sure he will have some throws, but nothing like Hercules - which is officially the main wrestler of the game.
I want to give him some crowd control, more than Hercules has. You can expect something from his MVC version for sure.

And Colossus will have a very unique thing: he was voiced... IN RUSSIAN,  by a native actor :)
The guy has a deep voice and Russian sounded awesome (they always looks pissed off to me, lol)

Right now, 22 (including Nightcrawler). For the next release, to keep a good balance, I should add 5 new playable characters.
One will be available since the start (Iron Fist). The others will be unlocked on the routes - 2 in each route. So you would need to finish the game at least 2 times to see all the characters.

And now I realize that each route will lead you to different characters - Namor and Red Hulk, since they are in different paths.

Nice, I was on the same page with you lol! That's awesome that you will add in some aspects from his MVC version, there were some great moves there (Siberian Express!!! lol) that giant swing was another favorite of mine.

And you have a Russian voice actor....ok now you are just showing off  ;D.

This is really coming together and definitely happy for you! Congrats on the work you have put into this thus far!!

Sounds strong!  ;D
Does this mean he would have reduced stat elsewhere such as slower speed?

Thanks everyone! I am still polishing him, so some things could be changed on the process.

Some other ideas about Nightcrawler that I want to share:

  • He escapes from the Trapster's glue after sometime, teleporting above
  • Recovery from falls if you press A2
  • Will escape from holes, by teleporting above - and the user needs to control him to avoid to fall on the hole again
  • At Maggia's dark stage, the enemies won't see him - and won't try to attack him. Maybe unless you execute an offensive attack.

His main teleport move has some additional features:

  • If press A2, instead of block, he teleports
  • You can control there he will appear, using the directional
  • While jumping, you can press A2 to teleport too - and you can also control it
  • If you press down after the start of the move, he will move alongside the Z axis. But if you press down + A2 when you start the move, he will teleport towards the ground - so you can have a safe land in platforms, for example.

Nightcrawler will be one of those tricky chars that once you mastered it, he will be deadly.

Colossus seems to be a good alternative comparing the other characters you have already made. He can have a new tank gameplay style.
 
I think Colossus makes more sense somehow so I voted for him, although personally I prefer Iceman because he will have more unique gameplay compared to other characters (where Colossus already has the Hulks and Hercules to compare with).

Will the character who isn't unlocked be on the base roster? For example if Colossus is unlocked, will Iceman be available from the start? Or will he not be in that demo at all?
 
Just a question, when i die can i continue using credit? I m mading rasbperry porting of openbor and maybe this is an issue cause 4 credit but cannot continue
