Complete Scorer Horror

Project is completed.
Finally, after so many delays, I could record a video to show new updates. Here's the video:

It shows custom menu with some locked buttons (features not available yet)
For game itself, the video shows:
1. Accessory feature is shown perfectly i.e monsters randomly wear accessory on spawn and they'll toss the latter on death
2. Tunas, latest playable, with ability to shoot and stab at close distance. Its secondary shot is piercing thrust
3. Random mode. It has random levels and platforms with random heights
4. New monsters
5. New powerups : shoot powerup and bomb powerup. The former lasts 30 seconds
6. Custom pause menu. Still need some work on the image but it works as intended nonetheless

Then near the end of video, you can see custom game over screen
 
Bloodbane: I'm interessed in this custom menu and accessories for Way of Martial Arts. Do you have an updated playable version of your game?
By the way, Cyber Robot is good also, you can maybye add some new frame for your main character. Good shooting gameplay for this two games ;)

I like this, reminds me of Snow Bros as regards placement of platforms but the graphic style is really original, good job! :)
Only one thing I can say: the background mountains should blend more with the darkness (the further they are, the darker and less contrasting they become), so the front elements (platforms, objects) can be more prominent. Also you can play with saturation, so bg elements are less saturated and interactive objects/players/enemies can be more saturated.
I don't think you should add anything else, like textures or outlines ,etc.. it's good like it is imho
 
After long delay and to fit Halloween them, I decided to release v2 of this mod.

I don't have time to record new video not to mention there's not much new features. I'm using previous video as promo video for this release. Please check first post of this thread to find link to download this mod.
Another thing, this mod uses custom menu from start. Press Enter when large > sign appears to play.

I'm wondering if you have resolved the score saving bug in v2?

nsw25: You can just delete the save folder, to configure the game as you wish.

The controls work perfectly for me (diagonal shoot, down + jump too).
If you wish, I've got an alpha version with a Warlock the movie design (Elvira and Dennis will be playable later):

Who’s Dennis? I feel like Junko Enoshima would be cool to have in the game, though.
 
It's a reference from Dennis the Menace. In this game, he will shoot with an airsoft gun.
The Snes version:
Giles uses magic and Elvira will shoot knives for your information.
I feel like Junko Enoshima would be cool to have in the game
It's a run and gun gameplay, I don't know if Junko use long distance weapons.

I suppose she could use Spears of Gungnir. Or even throw Monokuma heads.

Ah that bug, I remember but can't recall how to reproduce it. I'll fix that as soon as I figured out the cause

is there a way you can make it every 3rd or 5th stage is a bonus level of some sort, perhaps to get more special ammo or health etc

Special ammo and other powerups are dropped randomly by Kubuns (one eyed bunny creatures).

I dont like the music titles credits coming up each time.

Ah yes, I forgot about that one. I'll see what I can do to fix that :)

Need info for the black white portals to tell players to enter, especially since you established portals are bad (also do both portal options take you to different branches ?)

Hmmm... I thought players would enter portals when they see it open.
And yes, in Arcade and Random, each portal takes player to different branch :)

I'm going to see if default options can be added in menu without making it look out of place.
