The project is currently under development.
It made my process 10 times faster. I can even leave the engine running while I draw panels and etc and then reload and BOOM, it's updated. I know it sounds simple, but this is advance for me lol.

Glad you discovered that technique. I used that alot when designing my levels i.e test the level, take screenshots, analyze them, fix couple stuffs, repeat until I'm satisfied.

It’s definitely a game changer. Wish I knew about it earlier lol 😂
 
Quick update. Here's a look at the hub world area that we can explore before starting a level. I created a few areas like a Library area, and Solid's bedroom to explore. In the final game, there will be more people and items to interact with. The main purpose is to help progress the story and flesh out the universe a bit more. I want it to feel as immersive as possible.



Here's Robin Hood on a cave test level that I'm working on. Really tried my hardest to capture a claustrophobic and eerie atmosphere.

 
Testing out some footprints in the snow. And testing out some music that I made to fit the level as well.
The small details like this is what I look forward to the most with this project. I'm almost finish with the stage designs, then I can get back to showing the combat. I'm ready for some more action!

 
The hub world feels like you're in an RPG world, especially in Action RPG, like Zelda, Alundra, etc.

Nice work on the footprints.

I flipped the direction of the smoke, I think it looks a little more cohesive.


@maxman Thanks, that's what I was going for. It's there for those who like to explore a little and learn about the characters. I made it optional too. Just in case people prefer to just fight instead of listening to characters talk.
 
Quick update. I added some new features. I can now hit enemies on the ground. And when they die, I can continue to ground attack them. I've been test playing it, and it feels so satisfying. 😅


 
I like the use of pause during attacks, so did you tested it against multiple enemies at once?
I had issue with pause stacking up and suddenlty its 3 seconds pause per each hit and it starts to look strange.
Works fine for 1 enemy but tricky when you hit multiple enemies at once.

I tested with multiple enemies. I know I uses AttackOne a lot so that some of her attacks can only hit one enemy at a time.
Here's a video of Solid fighting 6 enemies at once. Around the 10 second mark, you can see her attack 3/4 enemies at a time.

nah bro... this is sick af... love the style and love the fighting...everything just looks amazing. very well done 💪
