The thread is some time of visual artwork like sketch, painting, or sprite work.
Remake also had the ability to directly grab from behind in the case of Max, which I don’t remember the original games having. And yes, the 255,0,255 seems like the best choice for a background color.

EDIT: The original games did have the direct grabbing from behind.

Sometimes I think SOR Remake gets a bit too much fan worship - it didn't reinvent the series. All characters can grab from behind in the original games, and Max has two back slams (German Suplex & Jumping Atomic Drop). I thought that was common knowledge.

I was never lucky or skilled enough to pull it off in the originals. Thank you very much. I agree Remake is worshipped too much.
 
Kratus and Miru: Thanks for your complete feedback  and the color code, I will use it to be close to the SOR2X standard. I use darker colors during the process because they are less agressive and save my eyes, you can imagine how much time I spend to these spritesheets.
For Abadede, I wish to lend him a jump attack that is close to Max but in the opposite side, a small reference that they use the same discipline, wrestling but differently :).
Maybye a dash move (like in brazilian jiu jitsu to grab the legs) instead a roll anim should fit to him.
You can test his vault that is similar to Haggar in your hack with the Nightmare link in your SOR2X topic?
O Ilusionista and Damon Caskey : I have the same advice, Max needs a complete recoloration / color separation and a vault to access to his two back grabs.

I tested Abadede's vault directly in your Nightmare mod and it seems to be good. The only thing that needs a few adjustments is the sprite "offsets", that are a bit unaligned, but the move itself is very close to Haggar.

I think maybe it's not necessary to make a vault exclusively to access the back grab, because in original SOR2 both front/back Suplex has the same movement. All grab movements are present in SOR2X even if you can't grab from behind, and Max has all your original grab moves available by front. But it is a suggestion only, no problem if you want a vault for Max or Abadede, in fact I'm currently testing a back grab but not yet confirmed.

It's divided in two scenes; the black holes are filled with conveyor belts, maybye I can use yours? Some of them are split in two smaller ones and moving in two directions (see at 30:20 in the video).
 
I'm still messing around the SOR1 Master System character and I noticed that Onihime / Yasha have a different haircut than Blaze:

Onihime acts differently than Blaze: she makes a backflip when the player attacks to be out of range.
Kratus : I'm wondering if the duo jump special attack is possible in SOR2X? Any other AI behavior that can be cool is Onihime can attack the player front of him and Yasha always try to attack his back.
I plan to add a duo rage attack like the SOR3 version. I created a folder for the SOR1 characters here and will make the same for SOR2, 3 and customs.

Enemy double special attack is doable. The tough part is to synch them cause one or even both of them might not be ready to perform the attack. When the special attack starts, they might need time to get into position ex: Mona & Lisa/ Onihime & Yasha needs to be close to each other before performing their attack. However Castor & Polx can immediately start their special attack cause they only need to leap toward player before they perform double shock.
I know the latter for sure cause I've coded that years ago.

Hmmm.... if the get into position part is simplified, coding Mona & Lisa/ Onihime & Yasha special attack should be easy ;).
 
I updated the first post with a new special attack with the SOR3 wave and a wip duo rage attack.
Nice quote Castor and Polluw from Sailor Moon :). I will test the bossfight in SOR2X with Mona and Lisa to see if a duo rage attack already exists.

About the Mona and Lisa team attack, they can already make it since v1.7 when all required conditions are met.

I don't know if is allowed to post scripts in this topic, but you can check the following events in the Monalisa character:

- thinkscript event in "data/scripts/think/monalisa.c"
- onspawnscript event in "data/scripts/onspawn/monalisa.c"
- "follow" 1 animation in all monalisa characters

I can post all codes here if someone confirms if scripts are allowed, otherwise I can post in SOR2X topic, if you want.
 
Kratus: Yes, this is based on a SORR recolored version of SOR1 Blaze.
Excellent, this duo special jump is great :). Maybye, this can be awesome if the players can make the same like SOR1 (one player throws another that makes a duo jump).
SOR3 Mona / Lisa will be a complete character soon, she's just giving me hard time to separate each color correctly.
The duo rage attack I've spoken about is this one:

The thing is that, before, you were able to make an offensive special and, as the last hit of it was a launcher that send the enemy to the air  , you were able to make an aerial special after that. You would lose some life but you were able to recover it depending on which recovery life option you have chosen (life,hits,time)

But with the "Sor 3 bar" option, you will lose life after the first offensive special, because when you do the aerial special after the launcher of the first, the blue bar will no be full and you dont have a way of recovering the lost life without picking an item (apple,chicken,etc)

What i mean is that Sor 3 axel using the "sor 3 bar" option will not have a way of launching the enemy from the floor to the air to do an aerial special without losing life. (i know that you can do a jump kick and make an aerial special in that moment, but im talking about a launcher from the floor.)

So, having the same launcher from sor 4 (2 frames i think) that problem would be fixed, because its a launcher plus axel makes a little jump on the last hit, and you would be able to make an aerial special in that moment.

I have to ask kratus if he wants to add something like this to sor 3 axel, but i want to ask you too if you would make me the favor.

 
Yes, I can do this kind of move for Axel. This is a great launching attack. One day, I will recolor this SOR3 Axel, he will be cuter than ever.
Just let me some time and see these SOR4 sprites.

This move uses similar sprites as the static jump attack, maybe is not necessary draw new sprites. I can do some tests.

In the next version the "super" can be connected with "specials", including aerial ones. This will be available for some characters only, not all of them, but I can guarantee that Axel certainly will have it.

And to speak the truth, someday in future updates maybe we can have a SOR4 Axel using SOR2 style sprites. Due to this, I'm not planning to add every SOR4 move in SOR3 Axel, it's better to let some differences between them all.

With super you mean the stars attack?
