Canceled Streets of Rage 4: Silent Storm

Project is halted prior to completion and will not receive further updates.
Hello my friends! Today is my 26`th birthday)
Just want to say that it was a tough half of a year, and i am still in my projects. Now i am about to finish my second album, and working on SoR4 to finish. So do not worry for my long absence (if you:). I am here)

Hey mtrain first of all I want to conratulate you for your 26th birthday, you have same age as me. Glad to know SOR4SS continue its progress, I just want to ask you something, is it possible you share your magnificent musical work for this game? I love them.
Thanks in advance

hey mtrain, after you get finished with this game and soundtrack, will the soundtrack be put on youtube? i can't wait to play your new game.

HB! and glad to see the project still runs!
I can't wait to see the other characters in action!!

Sooooo, hello my friends! I want to show you my first attempt of achieving "classic arcade look" of a character.

I am trying to start my MOD over. And there are some important reasons for that.

I can see you redesigned the characters to something more classic.
IMO, your previous step was OK. :P

Anyway, this is pretty good now.
-Beware of proportions problems. (Axel's thighs, Axels feets...)
-Glad to see a more stronger Blaze even if she is a little disproportioned (hips area, really short neck, arms seems a little long.)

Also, I always prefer the reduced palette graphics (seems to be what you did here)
But, the result is a bit strange. Does it still match with your BG?

Anyway good luck.
Thanks for showing progress.

Nice work!

I hope you don't restart the mod over n over too much. You might ended up burnt out before finishing the mod

And here is the (almost final) ingame look of Axel:

What do you think guys?

How hard is it to make those 3d modles?
Much and much harder is to make them look like 2d sprite in game. I have develop my own method and here is the result :P

IMO, your previous step was OK.
You mean my 2nd demo characters look?

..proportions problems..
..more stronger Blaze even if she is a little disproportioned..
This is result of going away from anatomical proportions. Now i make all characters with a little longer and stronger arms and legs like in the most of arcade fighting games (or like in anime).

Also, I always prefer the reduced palette graphics (seems to be what you did here)
But, the result is a bit strange.
Agree, old ones was experimental (one from a ton :-\)

You might ended up burnt out before finishing the mod
I am really have a passion working on this game, and i want to finish it. But from early star i have made so many mistakes, so now i can start over, fresh and with much stronger skills and experience that i have in 2011 after 2 tech demos.

Anyway good luck.
Thanks for showing progress.
Thank you guys, all who still interesting in SoR4 :)

I think Axel looks too muscular. Remember he is a martial artist.
I'd have to disagree here, Axel was pretty muscular in SoR1 and was supposed to be the powerhouse in 3. I'd prefer this personally but I wouldn't mind something more lean like SoR2 was either.

Design looks pretty good, his stance is a little weird imo but I like the rest.

Yes, you worked so hard on previous demo version characters.
Color separation etc...

Anyway
I like the details on this last one.
Cody looks really nice here.

I can't wait to see Blaze evolution
