Sadly, this is not true. Look what Sega did to Zvitor's Golde Axe Return.
1) The 🤷🏾‍♂️ = "It depends / Going by what they feel like" - Not that they never.

2) That's 2 examples stated vs the countless examples Nintendo have actively gone out of their way to nix projects & similarities of their IPs. (Pokémon especially)
You can't even find Switch nsps or Nintendo ROMs as easily as before for fear of getting struck by Nintendo's wrath...

3) Look at the various Sonic fan games/projects they don't mess with as well as even hiring the fans/modders to work on Sonic Mania & Streets 4.

1) sonic was given special treatment with how big the fanbase is and how it would influence other indie games like freedom planet.

Whether he is/was is kinda irrelevant. They 'generally' still don't actively go out of their way to nix projects in comparison.

Mr. Din & Anthopants were both special consulting fans on the project as well... But you're still not disproving the point.
Also, they've previously worked with the NiGHTS fan community for the 2012 HD port.
 
A suggestion: when we play with a character and lose all our lives, on the continue screen, if we choose to continue, the character selector should retain the last character we were playing with instead of switching to a different one. For example, I chose Axel from SOR1, but when I continued, the selector immediately switched to Axel from SOR3 instead of keeping the last one we played.

Can you change Sor3 Shiva & Ash's Default Colors in Rebellion Mode to their Playable Character Palettes.

Also if Possible can you change the order of Axel & Blaze's Types From Sor1-Sor3-Sor2 To Sor1-Sor2-Sor3
This one will need to wait at least until all the playable roster is finished because it will impact a lot of other things in the code.
PS: I will keep the initial hero based on the route selected.

Could you also change Sor2's Cover Art in the Level Select to the Japanese Cover Art.

However, you gave me an idea. I can add all the 6 box arts (usa/jpn) and add an option to change it.
 
Another thing I noticed is that the barrels where you collect items when destroyed give many points, like really many points, while in the original they don't give points. Is this intentional, or are you going to change it?

Another possible suggestion on the topic: Ability to change the overall theme between Streets of Rage & Bare Knuckle as a toggle/selection.
So you can use Bare Knuckle theme to auto select/default to the JPN specifics & logo. Vice versa for Streets.
 
I'm trying to make Mr.X Laugh in the end of Sor2 but his Fighting A.I. doesn't seem to do that for some reason you did fix that issue right?
I programmed Mr.X to laugh only from a safer distance, at least 240px from players (around half of the screen).

Indeed this was intentional. To be honest, I only added these extra points to grant a few more lives due to the high difficulty in the old SOR2X, but considering the current game balance maybe I can think of removing or reducing it.

And yeah, I checked the classics to confirm and the obstacles really don't have any score when destroyed. Thanks for the feedback.
 
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but if you select SOR1 BLAZE and repeatedly press the jump button at the edge of the screen, you will keep jumping upwards.
I can confirm this. Not just SOR1 Blaze, but all of characters who can do wall jump. Press forward and jump on the edge of the screen.

Thanks for the feedback, I just fixed it. I didn't see it before because it only happens in the SOR3 jump type option.

Now the cover type also changes the game logo, plus affects all intros and "route change" menu.

After analyzing, I didn't remove it but I reduced the points from 2000 to 100. At least it looks more balanced now, thanks for the feedback.
