In Progress The adventures of Fred

The project is currently under development.
The graphics looks very beautifully colorful. Even the gameplay is very well presented. I wonder why Fred does one that looks like a reverse run jump attack, but I understand it's a run jump attack.

You have good looking anthropomorphic characters in the game, along with some robots. You are in a very great start. Looking forward to see more.

thanks maxman.

that's because I enabled characters to turn midair so his run jump attack looked like to be reversed but he actually jumpkicks forward if you don't turn midair

Nice start with your game Fil Padovani (y)

I think enemies order would need to be rebalanced for first level but since this is just a test, it's ok. It's nice to see tough enemies such as Magnet Boxer which don't fall over when knocked away.

Shooter Units remind me to green soldiers from Denjin Makai 2.

Thanks @Blade Master, I put a lot of effort on these guys, thats is very welcome. :giggle:

Thanks, I plan on adding more enemies like the non robotic goons. About balancing I was wondering how you guys do it and what methods you use to make enemy grouping in levels, this part always got me curious.
Nice progress!! @Fil Padovani
I curious about the music used here, sounds very familliar! :)
Thanks, this tune is from valis 3 for pc engine, although the musics and some sounds I'm currently using on this mod are placeholders,my goal is to make a game with completely original assets 😄

Yes, sure, place holders.
But thanks, because I know that I have to listen to PCE's Valis 3 Ost :)

The valis series has a very awesome soundtrack, but it's sadly underappreciated, the genesis games did a good job porting them but for the most part the PCE ost is still the best

Very nice I love the variety of moves and original art on this game. If you can keep everything original you could sell this game on steam and android play store.

I have this goal in mind 😄, my only concern in the moment is how I will get an original soundtrack for it, but I think I'll track this down once the game comes close to being finished since it's still early to think about it.

Awesome! Still very good in action!

My only complains at this stage are the walk animation that make me feel like the frog is about to fall backward and the biggest impact sprite which is nothing but a simple zoom (it feels too static).

Thanks for the opinion @16-bit Fighter! the bigger effect sure can be more of an impact, that was an experimental effect I will look after it, but can you explain about the walk animation? I think Idid not understand your observation.

I like how this is a unique IP, and your characters also seem to be going for that CVS shading. I think the Magnetic Rover needs a new name, though, as it doesn’t seem to use magnetism much; maybe a Thorn Rover? The designs are pretty cool so far.

Be welcome. ^^
I deleted one word I forgot to delete in my previous message. But I'm still gonna explain in other words what I meant. In a walk each leg and foot alteratively goes behind and front of the hips to keep the body balanced. In your walk animations, there is no leg behind the hips. So the frog normally should fall backward.
I precise I'm not fluent in English, so it's not obvious to explain without sketch. 😅

ACtually, I have the same feeling.
He have a balance problem during walk.
his legs are a bit "in front" of him
