Streets of Rage X (Windows / Android)

In Progress Streets of Rage X (Windows / Android) Beta 34

No permission to download
The project is currently under development.
Can someone help me? The game won't open in my gamebox with amlogic S905X2 with 2gb ram.
Friend, I suppose this device is using an Android system. In this case there's no other instruction than installing the apk file I provided in the Chrono Crash resources or in my blog.
If you are trying to just use the PAK file separated with any other OpenBOR version than the one I provided, you can have many problems.

heres alot more sprites that have some beta shading, proportions & heads on them.
Interesting. It looks like an edit based on the only one found in the rom.
They are good, but I would need a complete sprite sheet in order to make a consistent work.

Edited with fx and made the move less jiggly. The fx comes from Daors Adam offensif special.
@seahorses Added your edit, it really looks great. Thanks!
I removed the fx just to keep the BKM patterns.

If you are tweaking the elevator level from sor1 I noticed some suggestions and feedback in comments elsewhere about “fun additions” and quality of life improvements.”

It always bothered me that there was no proper boss for the sor1 elevator level. I saw on YouTube a suggestion about using one of the rocket men from sor3 as a boss at the level’s end (the one with the goggles?)

If that bothers purists then maybe make it an option in the menus. Just a fun suggestion since I agree with the other feedback about it.

btw- Can’t wait to see BKM Adam! Great work so far. Legend.

I had. Another minor suggestion, maybe use the metal klunk sound. Just for some fun factor. :)
@DCurrent Hey boss. Type 1 or type 2? I'm first prioritizing original sounds before using others.
To be honest I'm inclined on using the type 1, the same as the pipe hit and more cohesive with the other battle sounds. But type 2 is closer to a metallic sound than type 1.

Type 1

Type 2

@danno Buddy, before messing with the character's speed, I added one more screen scrolling option for testing purposes which is very close to the SOR2 one.

I tested the classics and saw that SOR3 scrolls at the same character's speed, unlike SOR2 that has a fixed speed. Curiously SOR1 is more like SOR3 but a bit slower.
So, I doubled the "fast" option in order to always follow any character's velocity, maintained the "normal" with the same value as always and reduced it a bit in the "slow" option.

Please, I would like to know what you think about it after you test the next beta. I will launch it soon.

Yeah, I already tried adding a Jet boss in the sor1 stage 7 in previous versions, but removed because it broke the originality a bit.
However, adding as an option may work. I will think about it.

Good job, friend. I liked the time "box" a bit more "rounded" in the borders. I will make some tests, thanks.

I was thinking of type two when I suggested it, and still like it better, but type one (the pipe) also works.

Type 2 then, defined. We hear the pipe sound almost all the time, plus the metallic sound from the type 2 is more authentic.
Thanks :)

Awesome! I also just now showed it to some friends over, and they all loved the mental clank.

Hey i know i asked you this before a year ago and i don't wanna come of as annoying or anything but are you gonna add Sor3's Cutscenes or you just gonna ignore those.

SOR1 Blaze feels really fresh to play once the player gets the hang of it, as it's not just a reskin of the standard Blaze moveset :)
Any chance we could give her Onihime's air grab/slam move? The one where you press down+attack in air and she slams an opponent into the ground after a cool animation?

Right first off fantastic game. Secondly how do i just pick 1 player mode in this? (PC) I have a xbox 360 controller connected but when i go into arcade mode it has 2 player selected. Is it using the keyboard as an input as well? Am i being dumb in missing an option somewhere? cheers for any help

You need to manually edit controls for player 1 to use Xbox controller. It's not interchangable with keyboard like modern games
