Yes, I also think it's important to not force yourself.
It's better to go ahead and leave what is not needed. :)

Well overal i actually liked the idea of Kunio and Marian and i was ready(and did so) to put a good amount of work on this. And so i did not have a problem with that.
My problem only starts when i have to fix other people's provided yet poorly made sprites, then its like i have to beta test them and go to a pointless back and forth discussions with their creator in order for him to fix the obvious things which he should have in first place.

So then this is not just only a massive waste of time for me, but it also feels like i'm just helping him to beta testing his sprites for which he did not seem to care much about in first place anyway.
And you know? When i still try to point out nicely these issues and with visual examples too, and he comes back to me with:
"..well i have too many projects, i'm a really bussy man, so i don't care what you are showing me here Sir, you still have to test and reporting back to me for any problem with the sprites. Like, when you do telling or showing me an issue on the sprites Sir and i don't care. "

Then you  know.. to hell with all this BS and of course i will not gonna waste any more time for this s**t  and nor do i care about the two chars anymore.

You know, i like how there are so many people who want to do something but by not doing anything or too much. Istead should other people do the hard job for them. Like these guys on youtube who are commenting on their whatever Languages and they are waiting for the video host to do the job for them and use the translator. That's soo stupid man!

Magggas, please calm down, you can go some pages before and see that I always follow your feedback and correct some things that are wrong.
This is a normal process to discuss about what should be added/corrected.

You don't need to be aggressive with me since my lone wish was to help you.

Now, if you have something to say to me, I prefer that you choose the private message. Thank you.

magggas I'm really sorry for what happen and how you feel about it.

I felt something similar few monts ago.
I got to start a project with a coder, using another engine than openbor, because he feels it's easier for him.
I provided custom sprites and content (even if I knew I have no "power" in this project, since it's not openbor)
And finally he start telling me, "I will see later, I'm busy now"
So, basically I created graphics for nothing. Something I really hate to do.
I do really understand how you feel.

Perhaps Kimono didn't used the right words and he perhaps cannot test the sprites ingame.
But Yes, these kind of custom anims have to be pixel perfect to work correctly ingame.
Like this kind of move
vr3ZZE4.jpg

and I have even more complicated ones... I think I will regret it when I will have to add all these body part cut custom pain sprites. ::)

Also about the stick sprites of Kunio posted earlier, I know how hard it is to take someone's work and try to fix it to look better.
Not easy, of course.

Again, sorry for the direction this stuff was going.

Money helps in our community, even if it's just something small like £5 a lot of us creative types unfortunately are not appreciated in this regard, yes it's nice to give for free and help for free and yes a lot of us are dirt poor and have absolutely nothing to give, as much as we enjoy what we do it does take up a lot of our time and yes money should never be a driving force for creativity but it does help, I've spent months of my life editing/creating sprites for people and then nothing come from it and the project is dead and time is wasted, if I would of been given at least £5 for my work at least I could get a burger for my time or something, that's why I always give when I can because I don't want anyone to feel their time is wasted but mainly to show appreciation and to help, £5 can get you a free meal for 1 day or go towards your next electric bill, I'm not saying we should charge people to help them not at all maybe if we all donate like £1 a week to your favourite coder/modder/ artist I think we'd get more done as a community and waste less time, imagine 30 members donating £5 a month in your account? It's not a solution for anything but it does help, we should give each other more in my opinion, some of us are amazing with the work we produce, I know there's and issue with legality especially using big company sprites that's why I wanna stress I'm not talking about paying for mods, I'm sure you guys get what I'm tryna say if not then you probably don't spend hours of your life moderating this forum, or coding entire systems for people's games or creating/editing sprites for people

Are there any (builds) or versions is compatible with the Vita port of openbor?
Also, do you know where I can download older versions of the this PAK?

Hi this pak is awsome...great works.. I am having a small issue.

I amusing a Ipac4 with joystick and buttons. with this game in openbor, when i configure the controls. I always get the result of when player 2 punches and kicks it make player 1 punch and kick,
but if player 1 punch and kicks it does not make player 2 punch and kick.
the controller options don't seems to work .
With this game where can I hardcode the controller setting in a file?

ANY control inputs I add to player 1 work, but keys a,s,q,w seem to always be enable as well for player 1 regardless

Thanks you for any assitance.

My joysticks button mapped layouts are
player 1:
punch : left cntr
kick: left alt
back kick:  space
Jump: Left Shift

player2 :
punch : A
kick: S
back kick:  Q
Jump: W

Damn & miss my good friend magggas :(

Same... In my Openbor "adventure" I had 2 main shocks with some completed games.
1st was Crime Buster by Bloodbane (showing some great use of script and slam system - I had the feeling everything is possible)
2nd was World Heroes Supreme Justice by magggas (for the fighting game feeling and "consistence" of the mod itself, like a real game)
...
Then many others, but these 2 where the start of "modern" modding released concepts.

magggas Hello, I found that in levels with steps, the enemy uses "attack + kick" when falling down and sometimes uses a jump and high kick (not a jump attack). I tested it several times and encountered it several times but did not have time to record it.

I see that the action is a jump, kick the action in the plane, as shown in the figure: but the jump

If you mean that when pressing the two buttons the character instead of performing its special attack, he is just jumping and performing the normal kick like in picture, then yeah this is happening some times. The thing is i don't have any explanation on why this is happening. I checked many times my keyscript but there is nothing wrong from what i can tell. So i don't know..  :-\

kimono Thanks again for the new update, the new backgrab and the new palette are looking cool!
Yes, but I found that the probability problem only occurs occasionally on the steps. I feel that this is the case when the tracking range reaches the level.

Hello, do you have a solution to this problem? Can you teach me?

magggas updated Double Dragon Reloaded Alternate with a new update entry:

Double Dragon Reloaded Alternate

The Shadow Warriors have constructed their largest base of operations ever, and whisked Marion away. You know what do to! As Billy or Jimmy Lee, you'll stalk your way through city streets, forests, and forlorn temples. Nothing and no one can stop you.

Feel like the Shadow Warriors need a different kind of lesson? Take Hulk Hogan and his rockin' wrestling buddies for a stroll instead. Hey Abobo, whatcha' gonna do when Hulkamaina and the pythons run wild all over you?!

Want a break from the...

Hey bro it's been awhile, just wanted you to know that brother Top Hat Gaming Man just did a video covering your game!!

You can view it here:

Thanks again for your hard work man!

It looks like Top Hat Gaming Man covered pretty much all Double Dragon games, including the original Battletoads Double Dragon. I'm wondering if he will cover mine some day. I would like it, but I would also be nervous.
