I played the new demo. I love it. Just some random things here:

I might get dog-piled for this, but will the final version have easy/normal/hard difficulties to choose from? I ask because to me it feels like a slog when enemies take so long to kill.

Also, I read some discussion about using SFA vs SF2-style characters like Chun Li. I am hopeful that you stick to SF2-style sprites because they are more consistent with Final Fight's look and design.

Maybe you are not using some advanced chain combos. It's not needed to do too long ones, but just adding some moves here and there. Watch some gameplays from dudes on YT, they seem to handle groups pretty well:

For extra characters coming, yeah I'm trying to preserve the aspect in general of the game when possible, but the sprites being all from SNES games makes it easier for them to fit well.

I also like this role!

@Mr.Q!

I really enjoyed the demo overall. Love the Pitfighter references, that's one that gets left behind a lot.

My only real complaint is I feel like there's a missed opportunity. I know you have a thing for Astro, and this is a mix mash of worlds and everything, but I can't help thinking most of the effort and moves you gave him would have been a much better match for fleshing out Dean instead. Capcom had an interesting design with Dean in FF3. His electric powers and grabs could have been cool - they just dropped the ball with FF3's crappy sounds and animation. This would have been a good opportunity to see your take and finish up the FF cast before bringing in someone who had zero cannon relevancy to Final Fight,

Just my opinion of course, and everything else is top notch as expected.

nice one question How many Slam Master characters do you intend to include in your project?

Fear not, my friend, it's just Dean and Lucia are still 'under heavy training and going through an important facelifting process', that's all haha. They will be all beasts ready to be mastered. The goal of the game is making all characters the most appealing one in a beat'em up ever.

Hope my "tutorial" suggestion for Lucia tweak will be a bit useful in the process.
Even if I'm sure the result will be epic for these great 2 fighters !

The new demo was SAUCE!!! It's that good kind of sauce when you add the extra ''OOMPH'' on your chicken wings, ribs, steak or whatever that is what I'm describing about the demo. Cody is my main his new moves especially those kicks... Perfect in my SFII announcer voice!

Like DC said everything is polished and I'm looking forward to the final release.

Every demo release is better than the previous one.
I love how the characters feels old and new at the same time both aesthetically and mechanically.
This game feels like a legit Final Fight All-Stars made by Capcom in the late '90s (and I was there !!).
Thank you so much. 💘

My first playthrough was with Maki. I played through it again with some other characters and it was fine.

I appreciate the work you're doing. Capcom seems to not care about its rich backlog of beat em ups, even as classic franchises such as River City Ransom, TMNT, Double Dragon, and Streets of Rage get modern releases.

Your work on this game is so impressive that I consider it a de facto continuation of the series. You are carrying the torch.

I am excited for you to round out the FF cast with Dean and Lucia and look forward to seeing some SF characters as well. Thank you for your effort.
