In between working on Helluva Brawl and IRL stuff, I decided to partake in a small game jam as a refresher and to just get a little more published on my itch.io. It was a two-week project, and I've been messing with this engine on the side for several months now. Think of RPG Maker, except more bare-bones and suited for DOOM (although with some proper scripting and experience, you can make some pretty insane stuff).

It was a Christmas-themed one, so naturally, with guns involved, I decided to revolve around Krampus to ensure it's sufficient edge factor.

It's "The Hunt for Krampus".
I just wanted to share this with y'all in case it caught any interest! I wanna see how well I can place in this. Lemme know if you guys enjoy!

Cool, is it made with the GZDoom engine?
Perhaps you could post a gameplay video so we can get an idea of the game?

Following this experience, do you plan to make a full game out of it?

I agree.

@MysticalMist, you should create a resource here for download. It wouldn't even be the first GDZoom game on our site. @tontonMayonnaise has one here:

Also, don't be discouraged over a contest. You had very little time, not a lot of experience, and sometimes even when everything is right, somebody else gets across that finish line first. Just the way it is. Doesn't mean anything bad about what you did.

The engine I used was called "Easy FPS Editor", which is also what I used for another small game jam as well. Though I will say I have made GZDoom stuff in the past, back in high school (which was lost to time, unfortunately).

I just uploaded the game here on Chronocrash for those interested.

Okay, so more of a horizontal scrolling game like Operation Wolf. The problem with this type of game is often the aiming reticle, which needs to be both fast and precise, something that's far from easy with arrow keys.

May I ask what game this system was designed for?

Thanks for this information, I'll post in another thread so as not to stray here, but indeed, it's good to have this type of system on Openbor.
