O Ilusionista said:Sadly, the secure pak isn't secure anymore. People already know how to break it (and had stolen the Golden Axe Myth project, for example).
Miru said:Whilist Blaze Rhodon II did credit Kratus, and received his approval, it's a shame she used the old and broken version. Next time, she should get permission to do this and use the newest version. Also, ADD characters, not just replace them. This sort of thing is second only to the BOR clones in filthiness.

This is what he said:
Thanks! Yes my friend, you can change everything you want. I made this game also to help the community that likes to modify the SOR2 / SOR3 roms with Pancake software. So, I tried to make it as easy as possible to edit in OpenBOR engine, which is even more flexible.
KratusGH said:Yes, it's okay, I knew they would try to modify. I'm glad this game is useful

Blaze Rhodon said:OpenBoR is open-source software so anyone could do this.
Damon Caskey said:Secondly, none of that matters in this case anyway. The engine and its license have absolutely NOTHING to do with the modules. It is entirely up to content owners how they wish to handle their copy rights. Meaning it is between you and them. Not to mention sorting out who actually owns what since all but a tiny handful of modules here use material the authors didn't have rights to in the first place.
Blaze Rhodon said:Oh really? "Original" Streets of Rage 2X is nothing but massive asset flip (no offence to Kratus, he did a great work, I admire him). Nevertheless, even if this is "unfinished" work it is still very well done. I improved many things in my version (like character can't be hit while performing offensive special attack, or bosses doesn't have rage attacks), I guess I'm first one who did this actually...
It just a joke, doesn't want to mean that you or other person stealing someone's 'idea',if my word hurt your feeling, please accept my apologize!Blaze Rhodon said:jack5881 said:Don't worry about people stealing your design work!Worry about the day they stop!
If you want to know, I'm not stealing someone's "design work" (yes, I'm author of this modified mod), I only improve it. Anyway I got permission to do this by Kratus himself so it's okay. Everyone has access to OpenBor SDK so anyone could do this. But I do not advise you to modify Bad Ass Babes game, you will get DMCA strike from author of this game Andrew Thatcher (he wrote to me this himself although I did not tried it).
John_Kuey said:I'm guessing he doesn't like the vault because of it being poorly programmed? in SORZ/BKV, some enemies are capable of breaking out of the vault which wasn't possible in OG SOR trilogy. This even affected some grabs that used the vaulting script implemented instead of it being a grab script. Heck, a certain enemy was able to escape the vault grab animation before the throw was finished. That's my theory to why he doesn't implement it.
DintheAbary said:Actually earlier in thread he mentioned he doesn't like the vault mechanic at all. It's understandable though to be frank it's very jarring when using someone like skate who has a whole play style revolved around vaulting. It's really not too bothersome with Axel, Blaze and Max though.
Blaze Rhodon said:About this mod (I mean the original one) I think characters should not be vulnerable while they performing offensive special attack and bosses should not have rage attacks because it makes them cheap and overpowered. Also I think enemy characters should not be playable after completing main game (some of them are also cheap to be honest). And I think bikers should be removed from game (these one with bikes and who tossing grenades) because they are also very cheap and annoying. They are only my suggestions when I encountered these bugs while I modified this mod.
Sorry if I used word "cheap" too often but that are my impressions from playing and modifying this mod Streets of Rage 2X.
