Masters of The Universe: Eternian Battle

Complete Masters of The Universe: Eternian Battle (OpenBOR) 1.2.0 (Feb 13, 2025)

No permission to download
Project is completed.
So, I gave He-Man new moves and added a "Practice Mode" to explain "some" of his new moves. Also, you can point his sword at different directions. I also added an "MP Bar" and , at some point, He-Man will be able to perform "Special Moves" which will drain some of his MP. I'm hoping to be able to release a new DEMO as soon as I add "some" Special Moves.

I haven't been able to access my Chrono Crash account from my PC. Is there anyway I can "view" my password without resetting it? I even tried to reset my password but I never got that email with the link to do it....

UPDATE: Nevermind, I just figured it out.

Aah, niceprogress! I like the new enemies and levels in those videos.
My suggestions are:
1. You might need to give He Man block ability to give alternate ways to play. Currently he could only duck, jump or dodge to survive from enemy attacks.
2. Some enemies might not need attackbox in their animation to allow He Man to walk past them. This is to give gameplay dynamics.
3. Bosses should have more jump attacks or at least jump actions so they could make use of fighting space instead of just being on the right side most of the time.

Thanks evrybody for your feedback! Sorry it took me this long te reply I've been well, working on this game A LOT lately. I think I might release it pretty soon. I wanna do a final "test" before I upload it but as far as I know it is complete.

@O Ilusionista : Thanks a lot! Much appreciated!

@maxman : Thank you so much!

@Bloodbane : Thanks a lot!
1. He-Man DOES have a block ability but I just don't use it that much.
2. It might seem kind of silly for enemies to have an attack box in their idle animation but, that makes the game feel like a classic platformer, like the original Ninja Gaide Trilogy for the NES or Super Castlevania 4. I love those games.
3. Bosses don't have a jump attack but they do have a diagonal attack which they will peform if He-Man is on top of one of those platforms, above the Bosses. I just hadn't added those diagonal attacks when I uploaded the videos (with the exception of the Snowy Mountains level). I gave He-Man those extra platforms so he could escape and not get trapped in a corner.

@DCurrent : Thanks a lot! I hadn't noticed He-Man animations were so stiff. Perhaps I'm just used to them from all that "testing". I'm actually "overall" pretty happy with the animations.

@yolomate : Thanks for noticing! There were many characters from the Mini Comics that were SO cool. I always wanted to fight them in a Video Game.

I can see that but my point is by removing attackbox, He Man could walk past enemies and attack from right side. This will give players option in how to beat enemies.
If you don't want to remove attackbox, at least give He Man dodge ability to get past enemies.

I see. I was hoping some bosses could force He Man to use those platforms such as having an unblockable dash attack which could only dodged by jumping to one of those platforms. Or some bosses jump to one of platforms and attack from there forcing He Man to jump to platforms to attack the boss.

He-Man has a "Back Dash" move to dodge enemy attacks in front of him. A "Dash Forward" move sounds cool. I think I'll give it a shot. He-Man also has a "Slide" move which will allow him to dash forward but this slide move does have a bbox.

Bosses don't have any unblockable attacks however, blocking does drain some MP so the player can't jus block forever. Once your MP Bar is empty then your Health Bar will drain everytime you block. Depending on your perspective you could say that enemy attacks do force He-Man to do something other than blocking. He-Man also has some Special Moves that require some MP, these moves can make Boss fights easier therefore, the player has to choose when to block at the expense of not being able to use some of that MP for Special Moves.

Thanks for your feedback! I hope all is well with you.

UPDATE: @Bloodbane I'm so glad I listended to you.! I added that FORWARD DASH move. I also found a DEMO called "Shadow Trails.rar" or something like that and it has a script that allows for some Special FX Street Fighter Alpha style. I added that effect to both Forward and Back Dash and I LOVE it. I also added th same effects to the Special Moves. Thanks again!
